For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 106 expected.

* WHERE...The Piedmont and foothills of northeast Georgia, western
North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina.

* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, until 8 PM EDT this evening.
For the second Heat Advisory, from noon to 8 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. Drink plenty of fluids and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
