Watch, northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and
seas 6 to 8 ft possible.

* WHERE...Edisto Beach to Savannah out 20 NM.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 2 PM EDT Thursday.
For the Gale Watch, from Thursday afternoon through late
Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible

* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5
to 6 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk,
dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Georgia Beaches, Beaufort, and Coastal Jasper.

* WHEN...For the High Rip Current Risk, through Thursday
evening. For the High Surf Advisory, until 8 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
