...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...At 315 AM, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy downpours over central Rhode Island, moving slowly to the northeast. These storms produced over 1 inch of rain in 45 minutes in the New London, CT area this morning. Urban and poor drainage street flooding is possible from these thunderstorms, especially in Providence, Warwick and Cranston. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Massachusetts, including the following county, Bristol and Rhode Island, including the following counties, Kent, Providence and Washington. * WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Street flooding in urban areas and those locations which do not drain well. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 314 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
