...PATCHY DENSE FOG THIS MORNING... Patchy dense fog can be expected across much of the region this morning where skies have cleared. Visibility may be reduced to near or below one quarter mile at times. This fog will persist through sunrise before slowly dissipating by mid-morning. Drivers should be prepared for patchy areas of significantly reduced visibilities. These reduced visibilities should be accounted for when traveling this morning.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FOR SUNDAY JUNE 29... The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a code ORANGE air quality alert for Sunday, including the greater Pittsburgh region, including Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties. A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly, and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung diseases. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding outdoor exercise or strenuous activity.
