...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM EDT SUNDAY FOR CENTRAL ELK COUNTY... At 1135 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Ridgway. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Ridgway, St. Marys, Johnsonburg, Brandy Camp, Portland Mills and Kersey. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. && FLASH FLOOD...OBSERVED

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT SUNDAY... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following counties, Cameron, Clearfield and Elk. * WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Earlier rainfall has made the ground very wet. Additional rainfall of more than an inch could cause flooding of small streams and creeks.
