...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM EDT THIS MORNING... ...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Southwestern Somerset County in south central Pennsylvania... * WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 825 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - A Flood Watch remains in effect through 5 AM Wednesday. Additional heavy rainfall is possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Meyersdale, Ursina, New Centerville, Mount Davis, Rockwood, Confluence, Salisbury, Garrett, Addison, Wellersburg, Casselman, Callimont and Seven Springs. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of thunderstorms today and tonight will track southeast across the region and bring another 1 to 2 inches of rain to most parts of Somerset county.
