* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, and southeast
Pennsylvania, including the following areas, in east central
Pennsylvania, Berks, Lehigh and Northampton. In northeast
Pennsylvania, Carbon and Monroe. In southeast Pennsylvania,
Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks,
Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester and Western Montgomery.

* WHEN...From 3 PM EDT this afternoon through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Another round of heavy showers and thunderstorms is expected
late this afternoon through this evening. Storms will be
capable of dropping a quick 1 to 2 inches of rainfall within
a 1 to 3 hour period leading to flash flooding. Isolated
amounts of 2 to 4 inches will be possible.

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 103 degrees expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, central, northern, and
southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania.

* WHEN...From 10 AM to 8 PM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
