...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...Heat index values up to 103 degrees expected. * WHERE...In Delaware, New Castle County. In New Jersey, Mercer, Camden, Gloucester, and Northwestern Burlington Counties. In Pennsylvania, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Some showers and thunderstorms late Friday afternoon will provide some local relief from the heat, however it will still remain very humid. It will then turn much less humid this weekend in the wake of a cold front. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you do not have air conditioning in your home or lack shelter, you can call 211, or visit your county or state health department website for assistance locating appropriate shelter from the heat. &&
