At 328 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Zionsville to Pottstown to Glenmoore, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible. Locations impacted include... Pottstown, Phoenixville, Downingtown, Birdsboro, Collegeville, Royersford, Trappe, East Greenville, Schwenksville, Elverson, Bally, Bechtelsville, Green Lane, New Morgan, Zionsville, Pughtown, Spring Mount, Lionville-Marchwood, Glenmoore and Chester Springs. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
