FOR SOUTHEASTERN BERKS...SOUTHEASTERN LEHIGH...NORTHWESTERN
MONTGOMERY...WEST CENTRAL BUCKS AND NORTHEASTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 328 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Zionsville to Pottstown to Glenmoore, moving east
at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs,
siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pottstown, Phoenixville, Downingtown, Birdsboro, Collegeville,
Royersford, Trappe, East Greenville, Schwenksville, Elverson, Bally,
Bechtelsville, Green Lane, New Morgan, Zionsville, Pughtown, Spring
Mount, Lionville-Marchwood, Glenmoore and Chester Springs.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 299 and 321.
Northeast Extension between mile markers 35 and 50.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 10 PM EDT
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 100 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of New Jersey, southeast Pennsylvania and
northern Delaware.

* WHEN...From 11 AM to 10 PM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses to occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another Heat Advisory may be needed for
portions of the area on Sunday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young
children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when
possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent
rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone
overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
