* At 326 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Waymart, or
near Carbondale, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Carbondale, Archbald, Honesdale, Jermyn, Forest City, Mayfield,
Waymart, Vandling, Union Dale, and Prompton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 313 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Royal, or 10 miles northwest of Carbondale, moving
east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Carbondale, Archbald, Blakely, Honesdale, Clifford, Jermyn, Forest
City, Mayfield, Clarks Green, and Harford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
