...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches with locally higher amounts up to 6 inches possible on the summits and ridgetops. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Cambria and Somerset Counties. * WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday morning. The heaviest snow is expected Friday afternoon through Friday night. * IMPACTS...Near-blizzard conditions with very low visibility are possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Blowing and drifting snow is possible Friday night through Saturday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills will fall below zero Friday night with values as low as 20 to 30 below zero through Saturday morning. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur in these conditions in less than 30 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should delay all travel if possible.
