* At 411 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Mount Joy to Dallastown, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Lancaster, York, Ephrata, Elizabethtown, Columbia, Lititz,
Millersville, Willow Street, Mount Joy, Red Lion, New Holland, and
Spry.

This includes the following Interstates...
The Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 265 to 295.
Interstate 83 near mile marker 0, and from mile markers 15 to 25.

...A LINE OF OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY STRENGTHEN ACROSS
SOUTH-CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA AND THE LOWER SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS...

Thunderstorms developing from Southern Huntingdon County, south
along the Interstate 70 corridor at 115 PM will move east at 35
to 40 mph and strengthen during the mid afternoon as they move
along the Interstate 76 and 81 corridors and approach the Lower
Susquehanna Valley, including the Greater Harrisburg, York areas
between 230 PM and 3 PM.

This line of potentially severe thunderstorms will cross much of
Schuylkill, Lebanon and Lancaster Counties between 245 PM and 415
PM.

Additional heavy rain and thunderstorms will follow this initial
line of storms and continue into the evening hours.

* Wind gusts up to 55 MPH.
* Hail up to dime size.
* Very heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
areas, Columbia, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour, Northern
Clinton, Northern Lycoming, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder,
Southern Clinton, Southern Lycoming, Sullivan, Union and York.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Periods of heavy rain are expected this afternoon through the
evening. Rainfall amounts up to 3 inches are possible.
