...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN BROOME... SOUTHWESTERN DELAWARE...NORTHEASTERN SUSQUEHANNA AND NORTHWESTERN WAYNE COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EDT... At 945 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Lanesboro, or 9 miles southwest of Deposit, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Susquehanna, Susquehanna Depot, Hancock, Windsor, Lanesboro, Thompson, Starrucca, Hiawatha, Shehawken, and Starruca. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.
