At 119 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Bellefonte, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Woodward, Lamar, Zion, Millheim, Blanchard, Aaronsburg, Rebersburg, Madisonburg, Bald Eagle State Park, Mackeyville, Howard, Beech Creek, and Loganton. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. Bellefonte, Zion, Milesburg, Snow Shoe, Blanchard, Monument, Bald Eagle State Park, Howard, Beech Creek, and Orviston. For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the Snow Shoe and Lamar exits, specifically from mile markers 148 to 169. This includes Interstate 99 from mile markers 83 to 85.
