Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported flooded roadways across the warned area. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Monroeville, Shaler Township, Plum, Wilkinsburg, Swissvale, O'hara Township, Forest Hills, Wilkins Township, Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Turtle Creek, Millvale and Etna. Northwestern Westmoreland County in southwestern Pennsylvania... * WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 555 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported roadway flooding and rapid rises in creeks and streams bringing them out of their banks. This is resulting in inundation of structures. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
