At 950 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles north of Ebensburg, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Ebensburg, Northern Cambria, Patton, Cresson, Gallitzin, Loretto, Hastings, Carrolltown, Sankertown, Blandburg, Belsano, Prince Gallitzin State Park, Colver, Coalport, Westover, Ashville, Chest Springs, and Saint Francis University. Southwestern Centre County in central Pennsylvania... Southwestern Clearfield County in central Pennsylvania... Northwestern Huntingdon County in central Pennsylvania... * Until 1245 AM EDT. * At 937 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1.25 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... State College, Tyrone, Park Forest Village, Northern Cambria, Boalsburg, Pleasant Gap, Stormstown, Lemont, Bald Eagle, Houserville, Warriors Mark, Patton, Pine Grove Mills, Hastings, Centre Hall, Osceola Mills, Tipton, Ramblewood, Houtzdale and Port Matilda. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
