...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CLEARFIELD... CENTRE...NORTHEASTERN BLAIR...SOUTHEASTERN CAMERON AND NORTHWESTERN CLINTON COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM EDT... At 1231 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking several strong thunderstorms with rotating updrafts and capable of producing a landspout along a line extending from 25 miles southeast of St. Marys to 16 miles east of Clearfield to near Tyrone. Storm movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts up to 50 mph, and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... State College, Bellefonte, Park Forest Village, Boalsburg, Keating, Pleasant Gap, Philipsburg, Stormstown, Lemont, Bald Eagle, Zion, Houserville, Pine Grove Mills, Renovo, Osceola Mills, Milesburg, Chester Hill, Ramblewood, Karthaus, and Snow Shoe. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
