* WHAT...For the first Gale Warning, seas around 15 ft at 8
seconds and southwest winds 30 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45
kt. For the Hazardous Seas Warning, very steep and hazardous
seas 15 to 16 ft at 15 seconds and southwest winds 25 to 35 kt
with gusts up to 40 kt expected. For the second Gale Warning,
seas around 17 ft at 15 seconds and south winds 25 to 35 kt
with gusts up to 45 kt expected.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Gale Warning, until 10 PM PST this evening. Hazardous
Seas Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 7 AM PST Thursday.
Gale Warning, from 7 AM to 4 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...First ebb of 4.27 kt at 435 AM Thursday.
Seas 12 to 15 ft. Second very strong ebb current of 7.53 kt at
450 PM Thursday. Seas 15 to 19 ft.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
