...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING
THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Moderate risk of sneaker waves expected.

* WHERE...Beaches of Douglas, Coos and Curry Counties.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning through Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on
beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These
waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and sweep
them into the ocean. The waves can also move logs or other
objects which could crush or trap anyone caught underneath.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While sneaker waves can occur at any
time, the greatest risk is on an incoming tide. Please be
aware of the tides if venturing out onto the beaches.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Avoid climbing on rocks and jetties. Stay away from the ocean and
remain out of the water to avoid hazardous conditions.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and
steep seas 8 to 12 ft.

* WHERE...All areas north of Port Orford, all areas beyond 5 nm
from shore south of Port Orford and areas beyond 10 nm from
shore south of Gold Beach through Sunday afternoon. Then all
areas through early Tuesday morning.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds and/or steep seas could capsize or
damage smaller vessels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners and those operating smaller vessels should
remain in port and avoid the area of hazardous conditions.
