...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 8 AM PDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Temperatures as low as 33 to 36 degrees will result in frost formation. * WHERE...Upper Hood River Valley. * WHEN...From 1 AM to 8 AM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest threat for frost will be above 1000 feet elevation, where where temperatures will fall near 32 degrees. Below 1000 feet elevation, temperatures in the mid to upper 30s may result in patchy frost. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take steps now to protect tender outdoor plants from the cold. Consider temporarily moving outdoor potted plants indoors if they are sensitive to cold temperatures. Consider temporarily covering sensitive plants with a lightweight cotton fabric (i.e., bedsheets, thin blankets), as this will help retain heat and provide frost protection for your plants. &&
