...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PST THIS MORNING... ...AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST FRIDAY... * WHAT...For the Dense Fog Advisory, visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog. For the Air Stagnation Advisory, light winds and limited air movement will lead to a period of stagnant air conditions. * WHERE...South Willamette Valley, and Lower Columbia River and Cowlitz River Valleys. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 11 AM PST this morning. For the Air Stagnation Advisory, until 10 PM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Deteriorating air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems. Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... State air quality agencies highly recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible. According to state air quality agencies, prolonged periods of stagnant air can hold pollutants close to the ground where people live and breathe. Check with your local burn agency for any current restrictions in your area. People with respiratory illness should follow their physician's advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air, especially if an Air Quality Alert is in effect for your area. Alternatively, you could also type your location into the search bar found on the top-left hand side of the homepage.
