...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT... * WHAT...A moderate risk for sneaker waves is expected. * WHERE...The beaches of Douglas, Coos, and Curry counties. * WHEN...Until 2 AM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and sweep them into the ocean. ...HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM PDT THIS MORNING... ...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 AM PDT FRIDAY... * WHAT...North winds ease to 10 to 20 kt today, but will be southerly at 5 to 10 kt near the coast south of Gold Beach. Seas of 10 to 13 feet at 8 seconds this morning become swell dominated this afternoon, but remain steep 9 to 11 feet at 15 to 17 seconds. * WHERE...All areas. * WHEN...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, until 11 AM PDT this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 5 AM PDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Very steep and hazardous seas could capsize or damage vessels.
