Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades. * WHEN...From late Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Periods of moderate and heavy snow will combine with low visibilities to create difficult driving conditions. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded. Persons should delay all travel if possible. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
