...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 4 PM PST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...Greater Portland/Vancouver Metro, Central and Southern Willamette Valley, Northern and Central Coast Range Valleys and Mountains of Oregon, Foothills of the Northern and Central Oregon Cascades, Willapa Hills and Adjacent River Valleys of Pacific and Wahkiakum Counties, Lower Columbia River and Cowlitz River Valleys, and South Washington Cascade Foothills. * WHEN...From 7 AM to 4 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, including holiday decorations. Saturated soils from recent rains could result in downed trees. Tree branches could be blown down. Isolated to locally widespread power outages are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The peak winds will occur for only 1-3 hours at any given location with gusts of 25-40 mph lasting for another 2-3 hours after. Peak winds will begin in Lane county, moving north into SW Washington through the advisory timeframe. There's a 10% chance of peak wind gusts 60-70 mph through the advisory area. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.
