Issued: 4:12 AM Mar. 22, 2026 – National Weather Service
...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM CDT SUNDAY FOR VERY DRY AND WINDY CONDITIONS ACROSS MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS... The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM CDT Sunday. * AFFECTED AREA...IN Oklahoma, Haskell, and Latimer counties. * WIND...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts 30 to 35 mph becoming north in the evening. * HUMIDITY...15-25 percent * TEMPERATURE...Upper 80s to mid 90s. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. An abrupt wind shift to the north with the front will make ongoing fire-fighting efforts more challenging. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A red flag warning means that a dangerous combination of weather conditions and dry vegetation is expected within 24 hours, favoring rapid growth and spread of any wildfires. The primary weather factors include stronger winds, lower humidities, and warmer temperatures. &&
