...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, southeast, and southern
Oklahoma, including the following counties, in central Oklahoma,
Cleveland, Lincoln, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie. In east
central Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Seminole. In southeast Oklahoma,
Coal and Hughes. In southern Oklahoma, Garvin and Murray.

* WHEN...Until 245 AM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain
closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess
runoff from earlier rainfall. It will take several hours for all
the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 249 PM CDT, gauges reported between 2 to 5 inches of rain
fell earlier. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Southeastern Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, Shawnee, Ada,
Seminole, Tecumseh, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Holdenville,
Noble, Slaughterville, McLoud, Wewoka, Prague, Wynnewood,
Lexington, Pink, Goldsby and Stratford.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little River near Tecumseh.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Significant flooding to depths of 6 feet
damages croplands... pastures... and rural roads along the river
downstream of the U.S. Highway 177 bridge crossing... with lesser
damage occurring upstream of U.S. Highway 177. The area affected
is entirely rural... and downstream of Lake Thunderbird... from
near Macomb in Pottawatomie County to near Bowlegs in western
Seminole County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Little River is near its crest and is expected
to begin falling Wednesday evening. The Little River is
expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon
and continue falling.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
17.2 feet on 05/10/2015.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding to depths of a foot occurs over
areas along and near the river on the Cleveland-McClain County
border from near Noble... to areas south of Purcell and Lexington.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Canadian River is expected to rise above flood
stage late this afternoon to a crest of 12.9 feet just after
midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

homes in the community east of Beard Bridge on the south side of
the North Canadian River.

the stage was estimated at 13.7 feet.
