...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Washita River near Dickson.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, Flood depths up to 8 feet inundate areas
along the Washita Rivery... from near Davis in Murray County... to
near Dickson in Carter County... to the headwaters of Lake Texoma
in Johnston County. Nearly 7 thousand acres of agricultural lands
are covered. Any flooding on tributary creeks is increased by
backwater from the Washita River.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 33.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Washita River is expected to rise to a crest
of 33.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall
below flood stage early Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
32.8 feet on 07/08/2015.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH
FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, southern, and southwest
Oklahoma, including the following counties, in central Oklahoma,
Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, McClain, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie. In
east central Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Seminole. In southern
Oklahoma, Carter, Garvin, Jefferson, Murray and Stephens. In
southwest Oklahoma, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton and Tillman.

* WHEN...From 10 PM CDT this evening through Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more
heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional showers and thunderstorms will bring moderate to
heavy rainfall over areas that are already saturated from
recent heavy rains.
