* WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northern, northwest, southern, and
southwest Oklahoma and northern Texas.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.

Airport Weather Warning

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued an
Airport Weather Warning for Will Rogers International Airport.

A cold front will bring very strong wind gusts today which will
likely impact airport operations. The winds will begin to increase
between 10 and 11 am this morning with gusts of 50-55 mph possible
during the afternoon and early evening. It will remain very windy
into the mid to late evening, but the stronger wind gusts should
subside by 8-9 pm.
