Airport Weather Warning

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued an Airport Weather Warning for Will Rogers International Airport. A cluster of strong thunderstorms is approaching western parts of the OKC metro area, including Will Rogers International Airport. This cluster of storms has the potential to produce wind gusts to 50 mph, and half inch size hail. These storms are expected to move into the airport between 10:15 and 10:30 am, and should be out of the area by 12 pm.

Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 937 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
