...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, southeast, and southern
Oklahoma, including the following counties, in east central
Oklahoma, Pontotoc. In southeast Oklahoma, Johnston. In southern
Oklahoma, Carter, Garvin and Murray.

* WHEN...Until 615 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 309 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Ardmore, Sulphur, Davis, Lone Grove, Dickson, Roff, Springer,
Mill Creek, Dougherty, Gene Autry, Tatums, Hickory, Lake Of
The Arbuckles, Turner Falls, Scullin, Milo, Reagan,
northwestern Lake Murray, Hennepin and Pooleville.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the

Cotton, Garvin, Grady, Hughes, Jefferson, Johnston, Kiowa,
Lincoln, Love, Marshall, McClain, Murray, Oklahoma, Pontotoc,
Pottawatomie, Seminole, Stephens and Tillman and northern Texas,
including the following counties, Archer, Clay and Wichita.

* WHEN...From 4 PM CDT this afternoon through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
