...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull. * WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 711 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported flooding in the advisory area. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Akron, Youngstown, Warren, Ravenna, Boardman, Kent, Barberton, Green, Alliance, Niles, Tallmadge, North Canton, Campbell, Hubbard, Canfield, Cortland, Newton Falls, Mogadore, Lordstown and Hartville. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE FRIDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Eagle Creek at Phalanx Station. * WHEN...Until late Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding begins on Braceville Robinson Road. Portions of Barcley Messerly Road south of Eagle Creek Road will be impassable. Some homes will be threatened. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 10.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.5 feet late this evening.
