...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CUYAHOGA... NORTHEASTERN MEDINA AND EAST CENTRAL LORAIN COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT... At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Grafton, or 7 miles southeast of Elyria, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Elyria, Parma, Strongsville, Brunswick, North Royalton, North Ridgeville, Grafton, Parma Heights, Brook Park, Berea, Middleburg Heights, Olmsted Falls, Eaton, and Eaton Estates. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Southwestern Cuyahoga County in northeastern Ohio... Northeastern Medina County in northeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 536 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
