...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Medina, Portage and Summit. * WHEN...Until 515 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 254 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cleveland, Akron, Medina, Painesville, Willowick, Ravenna, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Parma, Lakewood, Cuyahoga Falls, Euclid, Mentor, Cleveland Heights, Strongsville, Brunswick, Westlake, North Royalton, Kent and Solon. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
