* Until 130 AM EDT.

* At 1027 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour possible.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
New Philadelphia, Dover, Uhrichsville, Dennison, Strasburg,
Sugarcreek, Gnadenhutten, Tuscarawas, Hopedale, Baltic, Scio,
Midvale, Jewett, Amsterdam, Bowerston, Barnhill, Dellroy,
Sherrodsville, Roswell and Parral.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Stillwater Creek at Uhrichsville.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Stillwater Creek comes out of its banks in
several locations resulting in overflowing in poor drainage areas.
Minor flooding of low lying areas begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 10.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:00 PM EDT Friday was 10.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.4 feet
early Monday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early
Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.3
feet on 03/06/1963.
