...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Heat index values up to 104 degrees expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...From 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The highest heat indices are expected to be concentrated roughly along and west of the I-77 corridor. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&

...AIR QUALITY ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR WEDNESDAY JULY 23... An Air Quality Advisory for ground level ozone has been issued by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory is from midnight tonight to midnight Wednesday night. Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups during this period. If you are in the sensitive groups category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check air quality readings at airnow.gov. Additionally, sign-up at enviroflash.info for text alerts regarding air quality.
