...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Hocking River at Athens. * WHEN...Until Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Low sections of Harmony Road begin to flood. In Nelsonville, the baseball fields along Watkins Street flood. At 20.0 feet, Low areas, campground, and private camps along the river between Athens and Coolville begin to flood. Much of the city of Athens is protected up to 26 feet by levees. In Nelsonville, the baseball field adjacent to Lake Hope Drive floods. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 18.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.0 feet just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.1 feet on 02/19/2022. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood &&

Morgan County in southeastern Ohio... Southern Perry County in southeastern Ohio... Northwestern Washington County in southeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 530 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding and lingering high water continues across the county from heavy rainfall on Tuesday, especially in Glouster and Trimble in northern Athens County. Several roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1001 AM EDT, Flooding of area creeks and streams from heavy rainfall on Tuesday continues across the area. In addition, the automated gauge on Sunday Creek at Glouster was in minor flood with a stage reading of 15.8 feet and slowly falling. At this stage several roads in Glouster are flooded including OH Route 13 near Glouster Memorial Park, West Main Street, South Town Street, and Oakdale Road. In Trimble, portions of Center Street and OH Route 13 are flooded. In Jacksonville, Palmer Street is flooded. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
