...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Peak heat index values will range from the upper 90s up to 103 degrees Wednesday afternoon. Overnight lows will only drop to the low to mid 70s which will provide limited nighttime relief from the heat. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Hot and humid conditions will continue on Thursday, and portions of the Heat Advisory may need to be extended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
