THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 118 IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN OHIO THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL OHIO ERIE HURON LORAIN IN NORTHWEST OHIO LUCAS OTTAWA SANDUSKY SENECA WOOD THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AVON LAKE, BELLEVUE, BOWLING GREEN, CLYDE, ELYRIA, FOSTORIA, FREMONT, GENOA, HURON, LORAIN, NORTH RIDGEVILLE, NORWALK, OAK HARBOR, PERRYSBURG, PORT CLINTON, SANDUSKY, TIFFIN, TOLEDO, AND WILLARD.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Ohio, including the following counties, in north central Ohio, Erie and Huron. In northwest Ohio, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wood. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall associated with multiple rounds of thunderstorms will bring 1 to 3 inches of rain across the area. Storms will produce efficient rainfall with rates over 2 inches per hour possible. These rounds of heavy rain may result in additional flooding across the area. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
