* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Marion County in north central Ohio...
Northwestern Morrow County in north central Ohio...

* Until 330 AM EDT.

* At 1131 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3
inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1
inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already
occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported deep water on Prospect, S.
Main Street, and West Columbia Street.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Marion, Mount Gilead, Cardington, Caledonia, Edison and Iberia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Ohio, including
the following counties, in north central Ohio, Crawford, Marion
and Morrow. In northwest Ohio, Wyandot.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1002 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marion, Mount Gilead, Cardington, Prospect, La Rue, Morral,
Waldo, Marseilles, Caledonia, New Bloomington, Edison, Green
Camp and Iberia.
