ROSS COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 437 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Jeffersonville to Camp Dennison, moving southeast
at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph. Gusts may arrive well ahead of any
precipitation.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Washington Court House, Wilmington, Milford, Hillsboro, Greenfield,
Blanchester, Mount Orab, Bethel, Sabina, Williamsburg, Batavia,
Lynchburg, Leesburg, New Vienna, Jeffersonville, Russell, Woodville,
Staunton, Good Hope, and Owensville.

This includes I-71 in Ohio between mile markers 49 and 70.

* WHAT...Heat index values in the upper 90s to lower 100s.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast
and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and
west central Ohio.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of high heat and humidity
can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will
provide little relief.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
