Strong southwesterly to westerly winds, gusting up to 60 to 70 mph, are expected to result in localized plumes of blowing dust through this early evening since soils have dried considerably recently. Travelers who encounter blowing dust are urged to slow down, use their low beam headlights, leave plenty of stopping distance ahead of their vehicles, and be prepared to encounter rapid changes in visibility, including near-zero visibility at times.
