...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The following counties, in Kentucky, Bracken, Lewis, Mason, Pendleton and Robertson and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Brown, Clermont, Highland and Pike. * WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 419 PM EDT, Radar indicated heavy rain over Robertson County moving northeast. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Maysville, Georgetown, Washington, West Union, Manchester, Peebles, Ripley, Aberdeen, Augusta, Winchester, Seaman, Lewisburg, Brooksville, Higginsport, Belfast, Emerald, Decatur, Russellville, Mount Olivet and Dover. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
