...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 5 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Geauga County.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and
blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs
may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could
significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Strong
winds could cause tree damage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall is expected this
afternoon into the overnight hours. Snowfall rates may exceed 1
inch per hour at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike and
Infrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all
travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel. Visit www.ohgo.com

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.

* WHERE...In Ohio, Lorain, Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore,
Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake Counties. In Pennsylvania, Northern
Erie and Southern Erie Counties.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
