Northeastern Morrow County in north central Ohio... Southern Richland County in north central Ohio... Western Holmes County in northeastern Ohio... Southern Wayne County in northeastern Ohio... * Until 600 AM EDT. * At 258 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mansfield, Mount Gilead, Lexington, Loudonville, Fredericktown, Bellville, Shreve, Glenmont, Mount Eaton, Chesterville, Nashville, Waterford, Apple Creek, Butler, Perrysville, Lucas, Fredericksburg, Gann, North Liberty and Mohicanville. Flooding is occurring along the Whetstone Creek at Mt. Gilead and the the Clear Fork of the Mohican River near Bellvile. Stay away from rivers and creeks that may still be rising. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
