At 506 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles west of Put-In-Bay to 6 miles northeast of Genoa to near Whitehouse, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include... Bowling Green, Sandusky, Fremont, Fostoria, Port Clinton, Kelleys Island, Put-In-Bay, Bellevue, Clyde, Oak Harbor, Gibsonburg, Genoa, Woodville, Weston, Elmore, Green Springs, Castalia, Ballville, Catawba Island, and Pemberville. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms have produced wind damage across Lucas County and will continue across Northwest Ohio. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.
