Delaware County in central Ohio... * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 618 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana, including the following counties, Fayette, Union and Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hardin, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Shelby and Union. * WHEN...From 4 PM EDT this afternoon through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A complex of storms will develop later this afternoon and continue overnight. Repeated rounds of storms, combined with the extremely wet soil conditions will increase the risk for flash flooding later this evening into the overnight hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
