For the Gale Warning, west winds to 35 knots with gusts up to 40 knots and waves 7 to 12 feet expected. * WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Erie from Vermilion to Geneva-on-the-Lake OH. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 1 AM EST Friday. For the Gale Warning, from 1 AM to 10 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
