...HEAT ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heat index values of 100 to 105 expected each day. * WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio. * WHEN...From noon today to 8 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Thursday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
