...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 and 8 inches. The greatest storm total snowfall will favor the higher terrain of southern and eastern Cuyahoga County, southern Lake County, Geauga County, and inland Ashtabula County. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Ohio. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The wintry weather could impact the morning and evening commute today. Wind chills will be around Zero degrees this morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.
