Northwestern Mason County in western West Virginia... * Until 1015 PM EDT. * At 713 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Rio Grande, Henderson, Cheshire and Adamsville. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. At 701 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Point Pleasant, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Henderson, Leon, Cottageville, Mount Alto, Gallopolis Ferry, Evans, Southside, and Letart. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
